Stage 2 Draft - FAQ
FAQ
Find answers about physical products, mail-in repairs, compatibility and warranty support.
Am I buying a part or a mail-in service?
A physical-product listing describes the item you receive. A mail-in service requires you to send your own device for the specified repair or upgrade; it does not include a replacement device unless the listing expressly says so.
How do I choose the correct controller part?
Check the controller model number and the exact compatibility details in the listing. Similar-looking models or board revisions may not be interchangeable. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure.
Are parts new or used?
Condition is stated in the individual listing. A modified board may combine a used OEM assembly with new replacement components. Read the condition, included-items and testing sections for the specific item.
How does a mail-in repair work?
Select the correct service, place your Shopify order, receive private shipping instructions, and mail your device. Completed repairs are invoiced through Square and returned after invoice payment. Review Mail-In Instructions before packing.
How do I pay, and can I combine parts and repair?
Every Shopify order is manually invoiced through Square, which is separate from and not connected to Shopify. Customers do not complete ordinary payment through Shopify. Physical products ship after invoice payment. Mail-in repairs are invoiced after repair completion and returned after invoice payment. You may combine physical products and mail-in services in one order.
Who pays initial mail-in shipping?
You pay inbound shipping. Outsource Repairs pays initial return shipping after successful repair; it is included in the advertised service price with no additional return-shipping fee. Warranty shipping is separate.
What if my device cannot be repaired?
If a device cannot be repaired and no repair payment has been collected, we invoice only the cost of returning the unrepaired device and return it after that shipping charge is paid. If repair payment has already been collected, we refund that payment minus the cost of return shipping and return the device. No repair or service charge is collected for an unsuccessful repair unless you separately authorize other approved work. This rule is separate from successful initial repairs and warranty shipping. See Shipping & Returns.
How long does a repair take?
Our target is two business days, Monday-Friday, after receipt of your device. This is a repair-processing target and excludes shipping transit time. Parts availability, diagnostic findings or additional damage may affect timing; the applicable service instructions explain any specific exceptions.
What if my device has other damage?
Tell us about known faults and previous repair attempts before shipping. If additional work or charges are needed, we will contact you for approval before proceeding with that additional work.
When do physical products ship?
Physical products normally ship within 24 hours Monday-Friday after payment. Delivery time is separate from dispatch time. Shipping availability and any charge or free-shipping offer depend on the order and destination; see Shipping & Returns.
What warranty applies to mail-in repairs?
Mail-in repairs have a 24-month limited warranty on the repaired/replaced component and associated repair labor. The warranty starts when you receive the repaired device. Customers pay shipping both directions for warranty service unless separately approved. See Warranty.
Can I return a physical product?
Used physical products have a 30-day return period. New products must be returned in new condition. Installed parts are generally non-returnable; unused logic boards may qualify under the return policy. Outsource Repairs covers return shipping for verified defective products. Contact us before returning an item.
Can I return a completed repair?
Completed mail-in services are handled through the warranty process rather than ordinary product returns. Contact us with your order number and the issue.
Do you provide carrier unlock codes?
No. Carrier unlock-code services are no longer offered.
Can I send a device from outside the United States?
International mail-in repair services are not offered. International physical-product sales are available where configured shipping services support your destination.
